    • How does TENS hire work?

    • Book your Elle TENS machine. Choose 4, 6 or 8 week hire period to suit your needs

    • Your TENS will arrive on or before your hire period starts, or as soon as possible for urgent hires

    • After you are done, pop into the provided pre-addressed satchel and drop it at your local Red Post Box or Post Office

    FAQ

    When should I hire my TENS machine?

    We suggest selecting the 8 week hire period to keep you covered for 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after your baby's arrival.

    If you are due to give birth soon, 4 or 6 week hire option would work for your situation. Please choose Express shipping if you are very close to your due date.

    I need a TENS machine urgently. How fast can you get it to me?

    We ship orders Monday to Friday. Same day shipping is available for orders placed before 12pm. Please choose Express shipping if you need TENS right away!

    We also offer same day collection from Penrith NSW. If you are already in labour nearby, drop me a message and we can still arrange a TENS machine for you! (And yes, this happened before)

    When should I start using my TENS?

    The best time to start using your TENS machine is right at the beginning of labour. You can put it on when you start experiencing dull period-like pains, and you can simply take it off if the pain doesn't progress to labour.

    TENS works by helping your body to build endorphins. Make sure to wear use your TENS for at least 30 minutes to get the full benefit.

    If you start using TENS when you are already experiencing intense contractions, it may not do much to reduce the pain.

    Can I use TENS for my water birth?

    TENS can't be used in a birthing pool or be immersed in any kind of liquid.

    However, you absolutely can use TENS if you are planning to have a water birth. You'll need to remove the electrode pads from your back when you go in the birthing pool.

    If you would like to use TENS after you get out of the pool, please ensure your back is fully dry before reapplying the electrode pads.

    Is TENS right for me?

    Unfortunately TENS can't be used if you have a demand-type cardiac pacemaker.

    Do NOT use TENS before 37 weeks of pregnancy unless under medical supervision.

    Do NOT immerse the Elle TENS in any liquid. Ensure that your skin is fully dry before placing the electrode pads.
